He was born in Thessaloniki in 1978. He graduated with honors from the Department of Music Studies of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master of Music - MMus with specialization in Music Performance - Orchestra Conducting from the University of Hull, United Kingdom (class Dr Lee Tsang). He holds a diploma in Orchestra Conducting (Thessaloniki State Conservatory, Vladimir Symeonides class), a Cello diploma (Music College Conservatory, Michalis Liatsou class) and a Piano
